This Privacy Policy explains how AEVO Ltd ("AEVO", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you visit our website at aevo.co or use the AEVO online training platform ("the Platform").


AEVO is the "data controller" responsible for your personal data. We are committed to handling your data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

- Account data: the name and email address you provide at sign-up, and a password (stored in encrypted form).


- Payment and billing data: your billing name, billing address, country, and transaction records. Card details are entered at checkout and processed directly by Stripe, our payment provider, and are not stored by AEVO.


- Community content: any posts, comments, or other content you submit to community features of the Platform. This content is visible to other users and may be publicly accessible.


- Usage data: information about how you access and use the Platform, including content viewed, login times, and progress.


- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device information, time zone, and operating system.

We do not knowingly collect special category data (such as health data) or data from anyone under the age of 18.

- Platform, video hosting, and streaming: Uscreen, our membership and video platform provider, which hosts and delivers the training content, operates the subscription Platform, and provides usage analytics.

- Payment processing: Stripe, which securely handles all card transactions.

- Email and communications: providers that send service, account, and (where you have consented) marketing messages, including features provided through Uscreen.

- Analytics: Uscreen and any additional analytics providers that help us measure and improve how the site and Platform are used.

- Professional advisers: accountants, auditors, and legal advisers where required.

- Authorities: where required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

All third-party processors are required to keep your data secure and to process it only on our instructions.


If AEVO is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, your personal data may be transferred to the new owner as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and ensure your data continues to be protected in line with this policy.


5. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Some of our service providers are based outside the United Kingdom. In particular, our platform provider Uscreen stores data in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement, so that your data receives an equivalent level of protection.


6. DATA RETENTION

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy.


- Account and usage data: retained while your account is active. Data held within our platform provider, Uscreen, is deleted within 30 days of your account being deleted.

- Payment and transaction records: for 6 years, to meet UK tax and accounting requirements.

- Marketing data: until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe.


When data is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymise it.


7. COOKIES

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. We use the following categories of cookie:
